3d design of the front of the cabin

Before work even begins, the customers have a view of what the driveway side of their cabin will look like when it’s finished.

3d design of the side of the cabin

The beauty of 3d design is that customers don’t have to guess or imagine what their design will look like.

If you want to see what your new walkway will look like, you get to see what your new walkway will look like!

Proper planning helps when applying for permits.

In this case we were able to show a sophisticated drainage plan that would capture and direct all surface drainage during a storm and move the water toward the lake without affecting lower neighbouring properties.

Front drive and back yard - from start to finish!

Like all successful projects, this one began with a site visit and consultation with the owners and builders to get a rough idea of the clients’ dreams and wishes. The site visit also enables us to really feel the life and energy of a property such as this, so the design process begins to move in a direction that harmonizes with the natural surroundings.

With 3-d design software, we are able to create a virtual model of the house and future landscape which really helps the client and our design team to visualize exactly what the finished product will look like.

The amount of time and money this saves both the client and contractor pays for the cost of the design many times over during the course of the project!

A proper plan and layout also help significantly when applying for permits and in this case we were able to show a sophisticated drainage plan that would capture and direct all surface drainage during a storm and move the water toward the lake without affecting lower neighbouring properties.

Some of the highlights of this project feature:

A Rosetta Grande Flagstone slab patio with a Rosetta Belvedere Fire Pit lowered into the lakefront landscaping. The patio is accented with very large natural granite boulders excavated from the site during construction.

The large wooden deck and dock soften the stone and patio work to create a perfect balance of natural elements.

Hardy and colour variant plantings soften the landscaping even more and transition from the manicured lawn and living space to the rugged and mature treeline bordering the property.
